A Sycee Shaped Royal Porcelain Box Made in the Lung Ching Reign of the Ming Dynasty
Made in the Years of Lung Ching Reign (1567-1572 A.D.) of the Ming Dynasty
Collection of the National Palace Museum, Taipei, Taiwan
The National Palace Museum in Taipei showcases China's glorious history with tremendous displays of artwork and royal collections from every dynasty. There is not, however, even a single piece of sycee displayed by the museum. Luckily, while viewing a recent exhibition, we found this Ming royal porcelain box from the Lung Ching Reign which was created in the shape of a traditional Ming Boat.
