I found your very informative article on Mexican Silver Dollars while surfing the Internet. I thought you might like to know, if you did not already, that these same silver coins were used in Outer Mongolia as late as the 1920's by European and American traders.
Silver coins of various nations {Hong Kong, China, America] of approximate weight and size to the Mexican coins were widely traded in Mongolia, value based on their weight and silver content. As far as I know the Mexican Dollars were used until Mongolia introduced its own Silver coins about 1925. I have two examples of Mexican coins used in Mongolia with "chop" marks.
