Portrait of Tong Fong Chai, the son of Tong Fu Shen-An owner of a major saddle sycee casting firm and the head assayer of all the saddle sycee cast in the Kunmin City, who shifted his family sycee business into gold business amid the first few years of the Republic era (1912- ) when saddle sycee was surrendering its position of base currency in the province to silver coins, he was also a successful local banker in Kunmin. According to Tong's epitaph, he died in 1926 at the age of 75.
